POLL: Does the Colorado Shooting Spree Change Your Movie Plans?

Has it left you spooked or will you hit the theater to see one of the summer's expected blockbusters?

The Dark Knight Rises drew many to midnight screenings in Los Angeles and Ventura counties early Friday and was expected to draw thousands to theaters throughout the weekend.

Now some law enforcement agencies are on high alert in light of the recent shooting in Aurora, Colorado that left 12 dead and at least 50 injured

In Hollywood, police plan to do  while the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement saying it was beefing up security throughout the county at theatres and public venues.

At  had sold-out crowds since the midnight screening Friday morning, and have increased both private security teams as well as the Los Angeles County Sheriff's presence (there is a station at Universal CityWalk).

"We are concerned for the safety and security of all our audiences," . None of the Batman screenings have been canceled or delayed and there have been no incidents. The focus is to keep the moviegoing experience "safe and enjoyable," she said.

Britney Young 24, and her friend Adriana Granados, 25, said they had real concerns when they heard the news.

“I feel like it could happen in any movie theatre in any city,” said Young. “That’s what makes it so scary. But we can’t let crazy people ruin our summer.”
