Head-on Collision Closes 118

At least one victim was airlifted to a hospital in Ventura.

A head-on accident that occurred around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday sent at least one person to the hospital via helicopter.

The accident took place on Highway 118 east of Hitch Boulevard.

At about 2:30 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers were preparing to reopen lanes, according to Officer Miguel Duarte, the information officer for the CHP's Moorpark office. At that time, he was awaiting investigators' reports for details about the accident.
