CHP to Offer Teen Driver Safety Class

The Start Smart session will take place April 19.

The Moorpark office of the California Highway Patrol is once again offering a free Start Smart traffic safety program for teenage drivers and their parents.

The class is aimed at helping young drivers become aware of the responsibilities that accompany getting to drive and is offered in an effort to reduce the number of teenage injuries and deaths resulting from traffic collisions.

The program also provides teens and parents with information on defensive driving, traffic laws in California, dynamics of traffic collisions, tips on avoiding traffic collisions and DUI awareness.
