HIghway Patrol Issues Urgent Advisory

The California Highway Patrol has issued a SigAlert shutting down the eastbound Ventura (101) Freeway at Las Virgenes Road, because a big rig struck a car hauler and fell over, blocking all but the fast lane.

If you're traveling 101 into Los Angeles, Patch and CHP recommend you consider a different route this morning or call the regional CHP office at (805) 553-0800 for updates.
