County Supervisor's Son Arrested for Alleged Drug-Related Offenses

Peter Foy II was arrested Friday.

Ventura County Supervisor Peter Foy's son, Peter Foy II, was arrested Friday on drug-related charges, according to a statement issued Sunday by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

Foy, 34, of Simi Valley, was arrested for transporting a controlled substance, sales of Oxycontin, conspiracy, burglary and money laundering, the Sheriff's Department said.

The County's Combined Narcotic Task Force initiated a criminal investigation after receiving an anonymous tip in November that Foy was selling narcotics. Then, in January, the task force was told by a similar task force in Los Angeles County about a package with a significant amount of U.S. currency in it mailed from Lexington, KY and addressed to Foy. A police dog indicated there was a presence of controlled substance on the package, the Sheriff's statement said.

An investigation of Foy's bank account, conducted after a search warrant was served, suggested Foy had been laundering a significant amount of cash for at least three years, according to the Sheriff's statement.

Last month, evidence found at a residence in Kentucky by the Lexington Police Department indicated Foy had been shipping "a significant amount" of packages containing Oxycodone pills and in return was receiving packages containing large amounts of money, the Sheriff's Department said.

Foy is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court Monday.

According to a May 2012 report by the Ventura County Star (note: VCStar.com articles are available to subscribers only), Foy pleaded no contest to conspiracy, illegal manufacture and possessing for sale a human growth hormone.

At that time, Ventura County Superior Court Judge Nancy Ayers rejected a recommendation by state Deputy Attorney General Diana Callaghan that Foy be sent to prison for three to six years, Foy's lawyer told the Star.

According to a Facebook page with Foy's name, likeness and city of residence, Foy is married and is the vice president and director of business development at Life Support Systems Inc. and the director of business development at Command Financial, LLC.
