Firefighters, Community Commemorate 9/11

Moorpark's Fire Station 42 was home to one of the city's 9/11 memorial events.

Firefighters throughout the county observed a moment of silence at 6:59 a.m. Sunday in honor of the rescue workers and others who lost their lives on 9/11.

Each of the Ventura County Fire Department stations had moments of silence and listened while a bell, traditionally used to commemorate firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty, sounded.

Here is what it looked like at High Street's Station 42 Sunday morning.
