UPDATE: Firefighters Control Brush Fire in Moorpark

UPDATE 10:55 a.m. The Ventura County Department reports that the "forward progress" of the fire has been stopped. 

"There is extensive work that needs to be done to ensure the fire is completely out, but both helicopters and some of the structure protection engines have been released from the fire. There have been no injuries and no structures were damaged. The photo shows the approximate location of the fire," the department posted on its Facebook page.

irefighters are battling a a 50-acre vegetation fire in Moorpark early Tuesday morning near Rustic Canyon Golf Course, according to the Ventura County Star

The Ventura County Fire Department has been posting updates to its Facebook page. The latest post said the following: "Happy Camp Fire - Firefighters are making excellent progress on the fire. Until the helicopters can fly the fire in the daylight, we are still calling the size 50 acres. Winds in the area remain strong. Resources are being concentrated on the western edge of the fire where it is most active. Two dozers are assisting in the effort and the helicopters will start water drops as soon as it is safe. More than 75 personnel are on scene. No injuries. No structures damaged."
