More than 40 thefts took place over a four-day period.

Deputies stationed at the Camarillo Police Department arrested five juveniles and one adult Sunday on suspicion of stealing items from vehicles.

Responding to a report of males looking into parked vehicles with flashlights at about 3:35 a.m., deputies saw four people fleeing the area on bicycles and skateboards, according to a statement issued by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.
