A man with a handgun robbed a Smart & Final store in Thousand Oaks Tuesday and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
According to a statement issued by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department Friday, the man, armed with a handgun, approached a cashier and demanded money from the cash register. After receiving it, he ran through the parking lot and was seen leaving the scene in a white 1990s sedan.
Witnesses describe the suspect as a clean-shaven Hispanic male about 35 years old, approximately 5 feet, 11 inches and weighing about 275 pounds. He was wearing a white or light colored baseball cap, a light colored long-sleeve, button-down shirt, baggy blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
