Moorpark CHP Office Recognized for Underage Drinking Prevention
The office will receive its recognition award Thursday.
The Moorpark office of the California Highway Patrol has been recognized for its work on preventing underage drinking as part of the California Law Enforcement Challenge.
The CLEC—sponsored by the CHP, the California Office of Traffic Safety and the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control—is a nine-year-old program in which the state’s law enforcement agencies compete against similar-sized departments to be recognized for the distinction of having the most comprehensive traffic safety programs in the state.
This year, 110 local law enforcement submissions and 119 CHP submissions resulted in a total of 229 challenge submissions.
