Moorpark Police Dept. Arrests Third Vandalism Suspect

The arrest is the result of a two-month investigation.

Detectives from the Moorpark Police Department on Friday arrested a vandalism suspect in relation to a crime spree that went on throughout the last two months.

The 17-year-old Moorpark boy is the third suspect arrested in as many weeks. The arrests are the result of a two-month investigation.

On Friday, detectives served a search warrant at the juvenile's Moorpark Avenue residence and discovered evidence linking the boy to multiple acts of vandalism in the form of graffiti, according to a statement issued by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

The boy was arrested on two felony counts of vandalism and one misdemeanor count of vandalism. According to the Sheriff's statement, he is in custody at the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center.

The police department expects additional arrests and search warrants to be issued in this investigation.
