Police Blotter: April 1-7

Police arrested four people in a car with possession of heroin and other crimes.

The following Moorpark incidents were listed among the official reports of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for charges brought during the first week of April. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

 Theft

On April 1, items were taken from a residence on Clemson Street.

On April 4, items were taken from a residence on Spring Creek Road and an iPhone was taken from a building on Collins Drive.

On April 5, a 21-year-old female took items from a building on Clemson Avenue.

On April 6, items were taken from a car parked at Moorpark College.

Vandalism

Between April 2 and April 4, someone vandalized two Warehouse Discount Center delivery trucks on White Sage Road.

On April 4, property on the 7000 block of Elk Run Loop was vandalized.

Battery

On April 4, a 54-year-old woman was arrested for battery and an outstanding warrant on the 4000 block of Park Lane.

On April 5, a 21-year-old male was arrested battery on a peace officer, resisting a police officer and driving without a license at Bard and First streets.

Controlled Substances

On April 6, a 55-year-old male was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance at Princeton Avenue and Spring Road.

On April 7, four males ranging in age from 22 to 41 years were arrested for possession of a controlled substance—heroin—and possession of drug paraphernalia. One was additionally arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and another was arrested with giving false information to a peace officer and had an outstanding warrant.

Miscellaneous

There were also three arrests of people with outstanding warrants and one charge of driving on a suspended license.
