Police Blotter: June 13-19

Battery, theft and weapons arrests are the notables in recent reports at the Moorpark Police Department.

The following information was supplied by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department at the Moorpark Police Station. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Battery

On June 8, a 39-year-old male was arrested on Roberts Avenue for hitting and injuring the mother of his child.

On June 11 a 28 year-old male was arrested for grabbing a female by the throat and throwing her onto the coach in the living room of their Simmons Way residence, causing a headache and pain to her neck. According to the Sheriff’s records, the man also obstructed and delayed an officer in the course of his duties.

On June 14 on Citrus Drive, an unknown person punched someone on the forehead, causing an injury that required stitches.

Theft

On June 9, someone stole identification from a home on Cherry Grove Street.

On June 16, a bicycle was taken form in front of Euodia Salon at 142 Los Angeles Avenue.

Also on June 16, items were stolen from a property on the 300 block of Moorpark Avenue.

Weapons

On June 12, a 42-year-old female was arrested for possession of a switchblade knife on Heather Court. She was also sited for having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

On June 14, a 20-year-old male was arrested for possession of switchblade knife.

Other arrests

On June 12 on Heather Court, a 42-year-old male was cited for having an open container in a vehicle as well as having a prescription pill in his possession without a prescription.

As well, three people were arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, three were arrested for outstanding warrants, two for driving on a suspended license and one person was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
