Police Dept. Will Present Community Drug Forum

The event is scheduled for Jan. 23.

The Moorpark Police Department and Ventura County Sheriff's Department will present a community drug forum at Moorpark High School Jan. 23.

Moorpark Unified School District, along with Moorpark's high schools and middle schools are inviting parents and students to learn about drug trends in the county.

Presentations will be by Assistant Sheriff Gary Pentis; Dr. Matthew Beatty, an emergency room physician at Los Robles Hospital and Sgt. Victor Fazio of the Moorpark Police Department.

The forum is set for 6:30 p.m. at Moorpark High's Performing Arts Center.

This is just the type of thing that Moorpark needs, it needs more of the same to make sure our students and young people are able to walk the straight and narrow. I hope this is just the beginning of these types of town hall type of meetings.

He has become a person my son will always admire and remember forever. Unlike many other places, the whole place has a great warm, family atmosphere. Mr. Anderson is not about making money, he is about helping children. My son is now in the Jr. program and we will encourage him to go has long as he wants.
