Deputies Arrest 2 in Moorpark Vehicle Burglaries

Detectives say suspects also may be involved in identity theft, credit-card fraud.

Sheriff's deputies from the Moorpark Police Department have arrested two people suspected of committing a number of vehicle burglaries in Moorpark, according to a statement issued by the Sheriff's Department Tuesday night.

Anthony Nave, 21, of Los Angeles and Talaya Cooper, 20, of Pacoima, were arrested early Tuesday morning when deputies spotted and stopped the suspects' car, which contained "an abundance of stolen property," according to the statement.

Cooper has been released on bail and Nave is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Detectives also suspect Cooper and Nave have been involved in identity theft and credit-card fraud, and are asking the public to contact Detective K. Lynch at 805-532-2714 or Sgt. John Reilly at 805-532-2716 if they have information on additional crimes that Cooper and Nave may have committed. According to the Sheriff Department's statement, Cooper works as an in-home caregiver and may have had access to patients' property and personal belongings.
