UPDATE: Sheriff's Department Captures Sexual Assault Suspect
An alert by the department announced the man is in custody.

A man sought by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department Thursday on suspicion of sexual assault has been caught, according to an alert on the county's emergency notification system. The alert wass issued at 3:04 p.m.
Earlier, the Sheriff's Department issued the following alert at 1:50 p.m.:

"This is the Ventura County Sheriff's Office. Deputies are actively searching for a sexual assult suspect in your area. The suspect is Julio Garcia, a 40 year old hispanic male, 6 foot 4, 220 pounds, unshaven with a crew cut. He was last seen wearing a black hat, sunglasses, white t-shirt and black pants. Please call 9-1-1 immediately if you see this suspect."
