Simi Man Held on 2 Child Pornography Counts

Thousand Oaks Internet Crimes Unit arrests suspect, 47, on suspicion of possessing child porn, Ventura County Sheriff's Department reports.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Department announced in a statement Wednesday night that the Thousand Oaks Internet Crimes Unit has arrested a 47-year-old Simi Valley man on two felony counts of possessing child pornography.

An undercover detective had been monitoring the man's Internet use for child pornography since November and, after obtaining a search warrant, confiscated his computer, according to the sheriff's statement.

The evidence gathered during the investigation was handed over to the Southern California High Tech Task Force, which conducted an  examination of the computer and found more than 150 child pornography videos on it, the statement said.

The suspect was arrested Tuesday on two felony counts of possessing child pornography and booked into the Ventura County jail with bail set at $50,000, the statement said.
