Woman Killed in Crash Involving Ventura Man ID'd

Samantha Lawson, 25, of Suntan Valley, Ariz., died at a hospital following Friday's crash on Sepulveda Boulevard, near Montana Avenue, authorities said.

A woman who died following a two-vehicle crash involving a vehicle driven by a Ventura man was identified today as a 25-year-old Arizona woman.

Samantha Lawson died at a coroner's lieutenant said.

The crash was reported just before 6 p.m. Friday, according to Los Angeles police Lt. Theodore Edwards.

Ventura resident Andrew Haban, 20, reportedly made a U-turn in a 2010 Ford Focus while traveling south on Sepulveda Boulevard; he was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban driven by John Radovic, a 33-year-old resident of Redondo Beach, Edwards said.

Radovic, the lone occupant of the sport utility vehicle, and three occupants in the Ford were taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where a woman in the Ford, now identified as Lawson, was pronounced dead at 8:18 p.m. Friday, he said.

The others suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
