City Council Candidates Plan Meet & Greets

The meetings offer the opportunity to speak with the candidates.

As the November election comes closer, candidates for Moorpark's city council seats are making themselves available to residents, giving them the opportunity to meet and ask questions of them.

This year, two council members—Roseann Mikos and Keith Millhouse—are up for re-election. They are being challenged by businessman Ken Simons.

This weekend, both Mikos and Simons will meet with residents at gatherings designed specifically for that purpose.

Simons' event takes place at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Fisher residence in the Campus Hills neighborhood. Call Veronica at 805-990-1974 to reserve your spot and to get the address.

Mikos will hold the first in a series of three meet and greets from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at College View Park, 15400 Campus Park Drive. She will also be available at a booth at Moorpark Country Days on Oct. 6 and at a gathering at Tierra Rejada Park on Oct. 21. Reservations for Sunday's event are not required, but are appreciated. Call Mikos at 805-529-4828 or 805-529-3216 or Janet Murphy at 805-587-1414.

Greetings Moorpark, If you see this story today and it is still before 4pm, please come to meet me Councilmember Mikos (and candidate for re-election) at College View Park at the picnic pavilion. I would love to reconnect with existing supporters and meet new people too. For those who know me, bring someone who doesn't and let's chat about Moorpark together! (It is at the corner of Collins Drive, Campus Park Drive, and College View Ave. (the park that has our city's dog park in it). See you there! Roseann
