City Oversight Board Calls Special Meeting

The redevelopment agency's successor agency will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The city of Moorpark issued an announcement Monday afternoon that the Oversight Board for the Successor Agency fo the Redevelopment Agency has called a special meeting for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The board will consider adopting the recognized obligation payment schedule, or ROPS, for January 2013 to June 2013 recommended by city staff.

The board had already approved the ROPS and city staff had electronically submitted it to the state, but on July 23, the state's Department of Finance summarily rejected it, explaining the ROPS must be filed in the manner provided by the department. However, the department, at that time, still hadn't finalized the format in which it was requiring redevelopment agency succesor boards to submit them—despite the law requiring the boards submit the schedules by Sept. 1.
