Hey Duff, I'm not sure what happened there, but you can send a note to your local editor (whose name and photo appear at the top of your local Patch page) and see if he or she can give some insight. Most sites don't require approval for comments, but if a site has been having trouble with folks not following the TOS on the site, the editor can make that change. If s/he has done so on your site, it could have been a case of the editor somehow missing the comment. Like I said, I don't know for sure, but a quick note to the editor might help answer the question. Patch doesn't have a sinister plan to shut out third parties. (As a frequent third-party voter, I'd take great issue with that!)

John- I am not knocking Ronald Reagan at all....he was the right man for the right time....I would just say that you can't have it both ways. You can't say that Clinton doesn't deserve credit for the economic during his two terms and then say that Reagan deserves the credit for ending the cold war and reviving the economy. By that logic, we would have to blame Nixon for the Carter downfalls. Do we blame Clinton for the disastrous W. years?, credit Hoover for the Roosevelt recovery. "love is blind" what is a peacetime dividend, anyways? Who quantifies it?

@Rebecca I believe a good part of the problem is the Patch software. It's confusing to use, very rudimentary and dated, and probably not designed for heavy traffic. It seems to choke a lot. I've had some posts disappear also, too many to attribute to heavy handed moderation.

Anne Romney spent her own money.....which is none of our business. Michele Obama spends millions of tax dollars on her elaborage vacations and wardrobe. That is spending American taxpayers money......our business. Romney an elitist??? So what?? It's better than a socialist president leading America to bankruptcy.
