Moorpark City Council Weighs Zoning Change for Natural Gas Power Plant

The council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Moorpark Community Center.

The Moorpark City Council is considering starting a process that could lead to a zoning change which would pave the way for a proposed natural gas power plant to come to the city, and is voting on the issue at its meeting on Wednesday.

The council faces a deadline of Jan. 30, which is when Southern California Edison will pick a shortlist of bidders, according to the Ventura County Star.

The council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Moorpark Community Center at 799 Moorpark Ave.
