Ventura County’s unemployment rate fell to 6.9 percent in December, according to data released Friday by the state Unemployment Development Department.
For California, the jobless rate decreased to 8.3 percent in December, and Los Angeles County fell to 9.2 percent.
Moorpark's unemployment rate was 6.4 percent.
The county’s jobless rate in 2013 was lower compared with 2012, but the labor force has changed little, according to the Ventura County Star. The unadjusted labor force fell to 440,800 people in December when in 2012 it was 442,700.
