Students Pontificate on Prom

Patch caught up with some high school students to chat about the annual event.

It's that time of year again when Moorpark's high school students are a twitter (and a Twitter) with talk of tuxedos, ties, dresses and tresses. That's right, it's prom time.

In this Patch video, Moorpark High School senior Alex Lee and Megan Riley and Meagan Freeman from the High School at Moorpark College discuss the great American coming-of-age ritual.

The girls share the best and worst parts of prom, along with the types of peer pressure they faced while planning their night. In the end, the consensus was that the best, and most important aspect of the evening was enjoying it with good friends while celebrating the end of one chapter of life and transition into young adulthood.
