Some of the ways the Moorpark post does this are by overseeing a Veteran's Day observance, a Memorial Day observance, sponsoring Boys' State attendees, presenting citizen awards, scholarships and participating in special events such as Moorpark Country Days, Fourth of July events and other community-based programs. As a veterans' organization, the post is also asked to assist with and participate in funerals for veterans.</p> <p>Post 502's largest current activity is the Moorpark Military Banner Program, in which active military personnel's names will be displayed on banners hanging on light posts in the city.</p> <p>The organization meets at 7pm on the second Tuesday of each month at the Chamber of Commerce office at 18 High St.</p>
